Healthy Cow Corporation Completes a Study With Kent Nutrition Group

Toronto, ON, June 2021  Healthy Cow Corporation (HCC) in collaboration with Kent Corporation completed their field study together. The aim of the study was to understand how establishing a healthy reproductive microbiome during a cow’s transition period affects their health and wellbeing post-calving.

Conducted on a 3500-head dairy farm in South Dakota, the study piloted HCC’s soon-to-be-launched probiotic product ProPreg™ — the world’s first product administered intravaginally to target and balance the reproductive microbiome of cows.

The study revealed that when cows were administered ProPreg™ before and after calving, their reproductive microbiome was maintained which led to improved health parameters.

“Completion of previous proof of concept studies and this pilot study has shown us that dairy cows for whom ProPreg™ was administered had improved health and welfare. With these studies, we are looking forward to commercializing ProPreg™ to benefit not only the cattle, but dairy producers, consumers, and the environment as well”, says Louis Hui, Co-founder & Managing Partner of Healthy Cow.
